ROCKSTAR SOCIAL CLUB WEEKEND
THIS WEEKEND, FRI DEC 12th through SUN DEC 14th Play Midnight Club Los Angeles and Grand Theft Auto IV online all weekend to challenge Rockstar at their own games and then go to Rockstar Games Social Club for chances to compete for limited-edition Rockstar gear and prizes. Here’s a full run-down of all the events.

GAME WITH ROCKSTAR
Take on some of the folks who helped bring you Midnight Club Los Angeles and Grand Theft Auto IV. Each day, Rockstars will be logging on to throw down the online multiplayer gauntlet per the following schedule:

GRAND THEFT AUTO IV PC VIDEO EDITOR CONTEST
Enter our inaugural Video Editor Contest at Rockstar Social Club TV for the chance to win a Grand Theft Auto IV prize pack and a $300 shopping spree at our Rockstar Warehouse (www.rockstargames.com/warehouse) online store – where you can purchase of Rockstar games, clothing, and limited-edition merchandise. Just what Aunt Sadie wants for Christmas! To enter, create a video using the Grand Theft Auto IV PC in-game Video Editor suite of tools and upload your clip any time between December 12th through the 14th using the tag ‘best-in-class-contest’. Rockstar will then pick the winning clip, looking at editing skills, user ratings, and overall creativity. MIDNIGHT CLUB LOS ANGELES TOURNAMENT: OCEAN TO L.A. RIVER TIME TRIAL
Midnight Club Los Angeles players, log in to Social Club, access the Midnight Club Los Angeles area’s new Tournaments feature and register anytime Friday December 12th or Saturday December 13th to be eligible to compete in our first official Midnight Club Los Angeles Tournament – the Ocean to LA River Time Trial. The actual tournament will take place all day Sunday December 14th. Log in to Xbox LIVE or PLAYSTATION Network anytime on Sunday and race any car in the designated “C” car class (which includes such tuners and muscle cars as the RX8 Shinka, the ’99 Eclipse GSX and the ’70 Challenger R/T) in the “Ocean to LA River” race as often as you’d like. The eligible player with the best recorded time on PLAYSTATION®3 and the eligible player with the best recorded time on Xbox 360® will each win a Midnight Club Los Angeles prize pack and a $300 shopping spree at Rockstar Warehouse. I’n a recent article that was posted on NeoGaf, it was said that Dave Jaffe said ” Oh my god, HOLY FUCKING SHIT IT LOOKS LIKE A PAINTING” more was said, but thats basically what he said in a nutshell. Dave Jafee’s recent video says that it was not God Of Wars Graphics that he saw, it was something esle.

Xbox LIVE ‘Friendship is Free’ program

This month, Xbox LIVE kicks off the Friendship is Free program. Over the course of this month, multiplayer will be available for all Xbox LIVE members for eight Xbox LIVE Arcade games. The Xbox LIVE Arcade team will open up the multiplayer functionality for A Kingdom for Keflings, Aegis Wing, Bomberman Live, Hardwood Hearts, Hardwood Spades, UNO, Small Arms and Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix. Sony’s Losing

The numbers are slightly different, but the positions are still the same. I’m going to be blunt about it, “Sony your losing!” With your lack of marketing the competition is putting a stranglehold on the market with an inferior product. Are you even competing? When I turn on my TV I notice a flood of advertising for your competitors who offer inferior products in my opinion, but they wrap up that shit like brown gold. You still have a large portion of your consumers who don’t know what your product offers or is capable of. Sony I believe your arrogance is getting in the way of you selling systems. The game has changed. You need to sell your system. Your name isn’t enough, “Your Losing!” You can’t afford to sit back and wait and maybe the PS2 users will automatically purchase a PS3 simply because the name on the black box says, “PlayStation.” It doesn’t help either that every time you have a major title to be released you delay that title or release with it flaws. You can’t keep shooting yourself in the foot, “Your Losing!” At the end of the day Sony, gamers will game on anything and a sale to your competitors is a loss. I’ve heard that you can’t drop the price 100 dollars on your 80GB PS3 next year because your still losing money on your current system. Honestly I don’t see how you could not? I think if you don’t do something drastic other than drop the price by 100 dollars making the 80GB PS3 299.99, release the talked about 160GB at 399.0 and remain competitive I don’t think you can win this console war. Look at it as an investment. You may take your loses in the beginning, but you will have more systems in the market and make a profit in the long run.

Suggestion; drop the price 100 for the holiday seasons and offer a Batman Bundle with its release, amp up your marketing, pay for some timed exclusives (DLC), and purchase some major studios “Level 5″ otherwise call it a wrap and wait for next generation cause “Your Losing!” This is no time to be cheap.

Social Club: Online Multiplayer Weekend Comes to XBL, PSN and GFW December 12th-14th

Take it to the streets of Liberty City and Los Angeles against Rockstar on Xbox Live, PlayStation Network, and Games For Windows Live. Play Grand Theft Auto IV and Midnight Club: Los Angeles with Rockstar developers and members of the publishing team for prizes all weekend long. Rockstar team members will be waiting around the world, all weekend long, to duke it out in deathmatches and races against all challengers; all you need to do is add their gamertags and PSN account names, friend them up, and join the party.
